On black men loving black women

I love black women always
Disrespect ain’t the way
Let’s start our family today
Hip-hop hooray!

— Treach from Naughty By Nature’s “Hip-Hop Hooray.”

Naughty By Nature is performing at Atlanta’s Luckie Lounge tonight. V-103 played this song this morning.

Aside: We sure wore some ugly sh*t in the 1990s.

Hell. I don't think our fashion sense has advanced much sense then. At least not hip hop fashion.

The other thing that amuses me about this video — the tone is so uplifting yet cats are walking around with machetes and baseball bats.

I'm sayin': you gotta look gully if you're rapping about love and sh*t. If you don't, folks will start thinking you're soft and sh*t.
