I think it could go over very well as Obama could use some Libertarian reinforcements. Heck, Libertarians and the right love the Fair Tax so much that I think they just might let Universal Health Care and a black President slip in to give it a shop. If Obama/Gravel could exploit synergies on this, its impact can't be underestimated. The big issue I see is that Gravel is so much older with so much more experience that the contrast might not look so great. If they played it right though, I think that it would be an awesome ticket. But I say that being a "soft" Libertarian myself. I don’t know what the Democratic establishment would think, but they’ve pretty much taken a back seat in this thing anyway.
