Atlanta, GA: Three things worth checking out
- Latin American Film Fest
- Okay, I’m a little bit late on this one considering it started October 12. Still better late than never, eh? A month’s worth of movies from Central and South America and Spain. Through Nov. 17.
- The Last Five Years
- “One of the most fascinating and acclaimed musicals of the past decade, The Last Five Years tenderly follows the five year marriage between Cathy and her husband Jamie.” The general rule for Actor’s Express productions is “even when they’re bad, they’re still pretty good.” Just go.
- Buddha in Paradise: A Celebration in Himalayan Art
- This exhibition brings together sixteen Tibetan thangka paintings inspired by the theme of the Buddhist pure lands. On loan from the Rubin Museum of Art in New York, in honor of the Dalai Lama’s visit to Emory. Through Nov. 25
And though not in Atlanta, I’ll remind y’all that Oktoberfest in Helen is still on through Nov. 4.
