At the ball game (Braves-Mets, Turner Field 5/23)

“Shake It Like a Saltshaker” by the Ying Yang Twins is playing over the Turner Field PA system.

Braves announcer: … catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia.

I should note here that your standard Ying Yang Twins fan probably sports gold teeth and has a habit of dropping the “S” from words like Christmas (pronounced “Chrimmuh”). So of course we were wondering why / how this kid would wind up with a Decatur / College Park strip club anthem like “Shake It Like A Salt Shaker” as his batter up theme song.

Sweetie out loud / Me to myself: Why are they playing “Shake It Like a” … [At the same time] Oh. [Look of understanding simultaneously passes across both our faces.]

Did I mention that his name is Saltalamacchia?

And Saltalamacchia’s name is so long that the letters on his jersey make a semi-circle from one armpit to the other.
