“Bug”

Anyone who knows me knows that I am So. Not. into movies. But I’m kind of excited about Bug.

Originally a play by Tracy Letts, and performed in Atlanta last year by Actors Express, Bug is a story about love, desperation, addiction and mental illness — or is it a really a story about a government conspiracy?

I thought the play was weird. Intensely weird. Without seeing multiple productions, however, you can never quite be sure how the theater company jiggled the plot. So I’m really interested in seeing how the movie — Letts also wrote the screenplay — differs from the play, and how it’s translated from stage to screen.
