a mish-mosh of stuff

Recommended: “Is Your Video Project Copy-Right?”

Over at NewTeeVee: Jackson West interviews production manager Robby Fahey about video copyright, fair use, and stuff you should think about before you launch head-long into an online (or offline) video project. Some great links at the end.

Don’t forget to also get permits and/or written permission for shooting on public streets, in public buildings (like your statehouse), or in public accommodations (like a coffee bar).

You may also want to check out the Creative Commons search engine for reusable, remixable video clips.

Thanks for the link! And yeah, I also did a post on permits. Look for press credentials and union sets to come…

I knew I had recently read a post on permits somewhere. I just couldn’t remember where. It was probably that one :-) .
