10 things I know after visiting Barcelona

  1. Spanish Chorizo is, quite possibly, the yummiest thing you can do with pork.
  2. Fiat cars are fugly and Citroën cars are cute even when they’re not.
  3. Green tea flavored white chocolate is surprisingly tasty.
  4. Context can overcome a lot of language differences.
  5. Graffiti is a sign of a city’s vibrancy.
  6. Eating an unrefrigerated cold cut sandwich might not be such a good idea.
  7. Sweetie is great at reading maps, but not so good at listening for key words (like Plaça Catalunya, our stop) from non-English speaking bus drivers.
  8. La Sagrada Familia is a hot architectural mess.
  9. Every city should have a place like Parc Güell.
  10. Broad beans + hammy-bacony stuff = damn tasty eatin’.
