Soviet, Cuban and Chinese propaganda posters

International reaction to local events fascinates me. Cross-cultural dialogue fascinates me. Beautiful visuals make my toes curl with passion. So my find from today has me all a-twitter. Via Coudal, Soviet, Cuban and Chinese propaganda posters and political cartoons.

What caught my eye?

These two gems on America’s racial climate from EnglishRussia:

There’s also one, from Cuba in honor of Angela Davis from “The Chairman Smiles” exhibit:

And a Chinese anti-imperialist / anti-colonialist poster:

But mMy favorites, hands-down are the Cuban posters. Magnificent, vibrant colors and funky graphics that would still look fly today. More on Cuban graphic design from Icograda.
