“Gay is the new hard”

While watching T.I.’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards during which he wore a hoodie studded with rhinestones in the shape of a crown.

Me: I can’t decide if that hoodie is gay or fly.

Sweetie: People are doing a whole lot of gay sh*t nowadays. Maybe gay is in. … Gay is the new hard.

The whole hard thing kills me. Reminds me of Nine's album that came out in like 92 or something about how thugs want to be rappers and rappers a wanna be thugs. I don't think he's around anymore so get on me and I'll dig out the CD for you.

The are men and women who are really, really hard physically, mentally, and spiritually. They're usually a little shy and humble about it because they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. But I guess that doesn't sell a lot of records.

I mean the crown concept was kinda hot...the rhinestones were considered bling I guess? Overall, the scale tips toward gay.
