I may have to check this out as I am very interested in the OO capabilities of PHP and it’s on a non-class day. Would you expect them to get into any PHP-specific OO frameworks or is this really to be an OOP primer with that kind of stuff coming later?
I suspect this will be more of a primer, although who knows where the discussion will lead.
It’s more of an OOP primer. In fact, the first part (last month) dealt only with theory. This month, Eric will be recapping last month and then proceeding on to show examples of the theory using PHP.
Afterwards, there will be discussion, and I’m sure some frameworks will come up, but we won’t be demoing them or anything like that. If you have any topic ideas, though, let me know, and I’ll be sure to find someone who can present on them.
